Description

Our UK trapdoor snails are captive-bred in our own UK ponds and supplied to pond keepers seeking a hardy, long-lived native species. Trapdoor snails are particularly well suited to outdoor ponds due to their tolerance of low temperatures and natural overwintering behaviour.

They are ideal for:

Trapdoor snails are slow-breeding and do not cause population explosions, making them a stable long-term addition to a pond ecosystem.
